Good Clinical Practice

Everyone involved in the conduct of clinical research must have training to ensure they are best prepared to carry out their duties. This is specified in the Research Governance Frameworks for all the devolved nations.

The NIHR Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre provides training free of charge if you work on a clinical trial or study which has been accepted onto the NIHR CRN Portfolio of studies and if you work directly with an NIHR Clinical Research Network, including patient and public representatives.

In Scotland, research methods training, including training in Good Clinical Practice, is offered at a number of sites.

Training is also provided locally by some Clinical Research Networks, NHS Trust Research and Development Departments and private providers.
